Genesis: In too Deep

Há alguns dias estou com essa música na cabeça. Meio triste, levemente nostálgica e quase que biográfica para mim, In Too Deep é uma bela canção da banda Genesis. (Para saber sobre Genesis – a banda onde Phil Collins iniciou sua carreira, veja um dos meus primeiros posts do blog clicando aqui).
A música In Too Deep foi o segundo single do álbum Invisible Touch, de 1986. É um soft rock (confirmando aquela velha história de que as melhores baladas vem do rock). Foi composta por Tony Banks (teclado), Phil Collins (vocais) e Mike Rutherford (guitarra).
O video clip é simples, e mostra os membros da banda cantando num ambiente minimalista composto de escadas e plataformas, que dão uma impressão de vazio, solidão e dúvida.(Me recordei agora que essa música foi usada para uma propaganda de uma campanha contra o câncer ou contra o abandono infantil há uns anos atrás... no sense, não?).
